FIRST STEPS TOWARD CHANGES
Regular exercise is one of the best things you can do for your health. However, working it into your routine and sticking with it can take determination and discipline. Certain strategies can help you keep it up.
If you're new to working out (or thinking of making fitness a part of your life) — congrats.
Deciding to be more active is an incredible first step. Think of working out as an act of self-care. Wake up every day and remind yourself that self-care in all forms is the best decision you can make.
BE EXCITED FOR WHAT IS COMING
Its primary benefits include helping you achieve and maintain healthy body weight and muscle mass and reducing your risk for chronic diseases. Also, exercise can lift your mood, boost your mental health, and help you sleep better.
Think about where you are right now and what you would like to become. This will motivate you and keep you in good energy throughout the trip. Before you start your journey with the trainer, you can walk at least 30 minutes a day and gradually increase your walking time. Set goals and give yourself time to create a habit with the coach that will become part of you and your everyday life.
BE YOURSELF'S BIGGEST SUPPORT
When you first start exercising you’ll experience feelings of discomfort such as shortness of breath, sweating, and muscle sore after exercising. Don’t worry, this is completely normal and everyone feels like this when they’re first starting out.
Accept that you'll have setbacks, and that's OK. Practice gratitude for what your body can do right now.
Be patient with yourself—you will have setbacks, and every day will not be perfect. The key is to be persistent and keep moving forward.
